Sorry but to me this sounds like you made the mistake of not asking for the prices before saying you would take the earlier ferry. I have travelled with Superjet and they were fine, tickets sent out in plenty of time, fast and on time.

I don't think warning people off their business because you made a mistake is appropriate, sure if they had cancelled your ferry or been significantly delayed but this seems to be simply a mistake on your part and a tough company policy on their part.

Damn-straight I love my hyphens. You see, I love making two words, one. I do it in my novels all the time. Take for instance, damn and straight. Damn on its own could mean "oh no" - but because I joined it with straight, boring old straight becomes one amazing word - DAMN-straight.
And, yes.

Wow, you sure do love your hyphens! Good summary of Lake Bled. Do you really think Ljubljana is like Melbourne? One of my mates said the same thing but I couldn't quite see it. Apart from the Metelkova area, I really didn't feel it was heavy on the street art whereas Melbourne is. I did think it was a very charming, compact city though.

I reached this page while listening to John Williamson's song- And the band played waltzing Matilda. I get goose bumbs whenever I listen to it, and wanted some background about the song and so here I am.

This is one wonderful city in the heart of the Balkans. I had some prejudices before I had my first trip but as I landed in Serbia I was simply overwhelmed by generosity and openness of the Serbs. Belgrade itself in full of contrasts. On the one side you can find modern 21st century buildings, just a corner below there is enormous medieval fortress. Accommodation was fair enough but recently I rent private apartments just outside of downtown. It is less expensive and offers good amount of comfort (fyi it is http://www.apartmannadan.rs website). Food is ok, but for my taste a little bit strong. Looking forward going in Belgrade, Serbia again
