Camping Vidor

Recommended for: A unique mountainous experience. Particularly special during the last few days of July.
Value for money: 3/5
For $45 AU, two people can stay with a car and tent for one night. You will at-first be surprised by the price. As it’s told to you it will feel like a mosquito is biting your neck; annoying, but you know you’ll live. Another shock is the internet ain’t free and use of the pool costs extra. However, the facilities are top-notch and the surrounding mountains are beautiful. If you’re lucky enough to be there when the Pozza di Fassa mountain-festival is on (last few days of July), all the better.

The bathroom facilities are like staying at the bloody Hilton. There’s automatic glass doors and each cubicle has it’s own dunny, basin and shower. The girl’s bathroom has personal powder rooms. If you’re camping, this is not-normal, in a good way. The internet must be paid for, but for 10 euros they pretty much give you unlimited access. The restaurant and bar area are awesome (German decor). We stayed there in the summer, but I can only imagine how much better it becomes in the winter.
Location: 2/5
Unless you’re going for the snow, I’m pretty sure this is just another place you should stay on your way to Slovenia or when you’re seeing the Dolomites.
